Nockolds Takes Part in the Inaugural Costa del Sol Estepona Marathon

The team at Nockolds was proud to take part in the inaugural Costa del Sol Estepona Marathon, joining runners from across Spain and around the world for a landmark sporting event on the Costa del Sol.

Held on Sunday 11 October 2026, the event marked the launch of what organisers hope will become a major fixture on both the national and international running calendar. The marathon featured official 21km and 42km distances and was designed as a “Boutique Marathon”, with participation limited to 2,000 runners to create a more personalised race experience.

As a firm deeply connected to life in Spain, the Nockolds Lawyers Spain team was delighted to support the marathon and be part of a memorable day for the local community. Runners from Nockolds’ UK team took part, with Faisal Bhatti delivering an outstanding performance and securing third place in the men’s event.

Darren Hayward, Director at Nockolds Lawyers Spain commented:

“We were thrilled to take part in the first Costa del Sol Estepona Marathon. It was fantastic to see runners, supporters and local businesses come together to celebrate such an exciting new event for Estepona. Being involved in the inaugural race made the experience even more special, and we are proud to have supported an event that showcases the very best of the Costa del Sol.”

The marathon reflects the energy, ambition and community spirit that make Estepona such a popular destination for both residents and international visitors. These are values that resonate strongly with the team at Nockolds Lawyers Spain, which supports clients across a wide range of legal matters including property purchases and sales, inheritance and estate planning, family law, residency applications, official translations and cross-border legal issues.

The team congratulates the organisers, volunteers and participants on a successful inaugural marathon and looks forward to seeing the event grow in the years ahead.
