Digital Nomad Visa (DNV)
There are two ways to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa: either as an employee of a foreign based company, or as a self-employed person who has one or several clients that are registered businesses, not private individuals.
You can either apply in Spain, or through your local Spanish Consulate in your home country. If you apply from Spain, you'll receive a 3-year residency approval or the length of your longest contract or A1 form (if shorter). Whilst, if you apply from your local Spanish Consulate, you will initially receive a 1-year visa that must be renewed from Spain.
The first step before proceeding with your DNV application, is confirming that you meet the right visa criteria to apply:

- You have a degree or professional qualification related to your line of work or 3 years of experience.
